The school has a full time lady doctor aided by two nurses and a separate ten-bedded infirmary available for the students at all times. Every student of the school is medically examined after every quarter of the year wherein regular eye testing and periodic dental checkups are carried out. A complete record for each student is also maintained to keep a tab on their height, weight, growth and overall health.
The hostel runs a Health Center for providing facilities of medical check-up and treatment to resident students. The school medical officers provide routine medical treatment during the school hours. A qualified doctor is in attendance round the clock. All minor ailments are treated in the hostel but serious cases are referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Parents are advised to get their wards vaccinated against Hepatitis B. For entitlement to a seat in the hostel, the student is subject to being declared free from any infection or contagious disease by the Hostel Medical Officer.
The Parents/Guardians must disclose to school administration in case the child is suffering from epilepsy, asthma, deafness, blindness and any communicable disease, bed wetting or any other serious hereditary or chronic or contagious disease at the time of admission. If such illness is not brought to the notice of the school authorities at the time of admission, the student may be expelled from the school whenever it comes to the notice of the school authorities. No fees shall be refunded in that case.
Parents/Guardians must furnish immunization proof for the child against Hepatitis-A, Hepatitis-B and Chicken pox. Also parents/guardians must inform school authorities at the time of admission if the child has undergone any psychological counseling in past.
INJURIES-FATAL or OTHERWISE
The school will take all possible care for the physical safety of the students. However, the school does not accept any responsibility, legal or otherwise, for accidents or mishaps and the school will remain indemnified against any claim on such grounds.
